INTRODUCTION.

A.        Our lives as Christians consists of much more than memorizing Bible verses, understanding the deity and humanity of Christ, speaking the Truth on marriage, divorce, and remarriage, scriptural uses for the Lord’s money, who is liberal and who is conservative, who is sound and who is unsound, etc. There is more to a Christian’s life than just issues and understandings.

B.        A Christian’s life must consist of day to day application of God’s word.

1.         Proper understanding of the deity and humanity of Christ will NOT help a person engaging in pornography to go to Heaven.

2.         A man and wife may be scripturally married, but they will still go to Hell for lying, cheating, gossiping, slandering, etc.

3.         A church may rightfully use the Lord’s money, but if that church tolerates covetousness, adultery, fornication, lying, cheating, gossiping, backbiting, or slandering, then that church is unsound in the eyes of the Lord.

C.        As Christians, we must keep our daily lives focused on the goal of everlasting life in Heaven. Trying to keep focus only on Sunday’s and Wednesday’s will not keep a person on the path to Heaven. We must keep our focus every single day of our lives.

D.        With this lesson, we will look at a large number of Scriptures which will help us to keep our focus on the goal of Heaven. If we will study and apply these verses within our lives, then we will not waver from the goal.
